Policies
Shipping Policy To avoid credit card fraud, we normally only ship to the credit card billing address. We only ship to addresses in the continental USA, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Guam. We do ship to APO addresses for our military customers. We also accept Purchase Orders from businesses, municipalities, military installations, and law enforcement agencies. If ordering from Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Guam, additional shipping charges will be added to your order. We will email the exact amount of the additional shipping charge and will not ship until you give us your permission to add the additional shipping charge to the order total. We honor MasterCard and Visa credit cards only. We do not export. We do not accept foreign credit cards. If you need the item shipped to an address other than the credit card billing address, enter the alternate shipping address in the COMMENTS section of the order form. We usually ship within 3 to 7 business days of receiving your order. Business days do not include weekends or holidays. Some Beretta, Sako, Choate, and Tikka items may take approximately 10 business days to ship. You may choose to print an order form, attach a money order, cashiers check, or personal check (held 7 to 10 business days) and mail it to us instead of using a credit card. Make all checks payable to TJ General Store. We do not backorder anything. If an item is out of stock, we try to remove it from the site as soon as possible. If for some reason you process your order before we remove the item from the web, we do not charge your credit card and inform you by e-mail. If you sent a check, we return the check and inform you by e-mail that we could not fill your order and your payment is being returned by mail. If you have any questions, Contact Us Quantity Discounts If you are going to order a quantity of a certain item(s), please email us for a price and shipping quote. Shipping Method Merchandise is shipped US Priority Mail, UPS ground, or US Mail at our discretion. Shipping Charges Shipping charges are displayed on the shopping cart order sheet after you click the CHECK OUT button. The shipping charge you see on the order form is the maximum amount anyone will pay to have the item shipped anywhere in the continental US. Depending on your location, you may notice that we charged you less shipping than the amount shown on the original order. This is not an error on our part and we don't want you to feel guilty for not calling it to our attention. Sales Tax Since we are located only in Pennsylvania, not all over country, you only pay sales tax on items shipped within Pennsylvania. If we ship outside Pennsylvania, you currently pay no sales tax. Restricted Items Some of the goods on the TJ General Store website may be restricted by Federal, State, and/or Local law. TJ General Store does not, and cannot grant the right or authority to persons to purchase items which may be regulated pursuant to such laws. You must 21 years of age to purchase anything from TJ General Store and it is your responsibility to check Federal, State, and/or Local laws to insure legal possession of such items in the delivery area. Further, pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 922 (D)(1)-(9), you cannot be under a legal disability to purchase certain restricted items. Notice: The sale of all black powder firearms and ammunition is regulated by law in the following areas: Michigan, Illinois , Hawaii, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and Puerto Rico. Shipping is either illegal or requires some type of license or document exchange. In either case, we do not ship blackpowder firearms to these areas. Check your local and state laws before ordering. Tracking Your Shipment The tracking number will be emailed after shipment. You can track your US Priority Mail Shipment by entering the tracking number we provide using the following website: http://www.framed.usps.com/cttgate/welcome.htm The tracking number will be emailed after shipment. You can track your UPS Shipment by entering the tracking number we provide using the following website: http://www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html Returns All returns must have a return authorization number/email assigned by us. Contact Us to discuss returns. All returns must be assigned an authorization number/email within 10 days of receipt of merchandise. We must have your order number to process your return. Please do not return anything without a Return Authorization email document. Only unopened, unused merchandise may be returned. Scopes that have been mounted or had the rings installed are considered used merchandise and cannot be retuned Any item that has had the batteries installed is considered used merchandise. No returns or exchanges on clothing, footwear or Sako and Tikka rifle stocks. All clothing, footwear, and Sako and Tikka Rifle Stocks purchases are final. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Please Note: Leupold and Burris scopes are in sealed packages. No opened Leupold or Burris scopes can be returned. Opened Videos or CD's cannot be returned. Damaged Items Shipping damage is the responsibility of the carrier. Contact the carrier if items are damaged in transit. Warranty Product warranty is clearly stated for many items that we offer. This warranty is between the manufacturer and the end user. We sell only name brand merchandise and we carefully analyze warranties before we offer items for sale. This protects both the seller and the buyer. Privacy Policy TJ General Store does not electronically store email addresses nor do we share customer names and addresses with any outside entity. Additionally, TJ General Store does not conduct email, regular mail, or phone advertising promotions.
